Nike Greater China Campus.
For the design of the Nike office headquartered in Shanghai for Greater China, Big-Giant worked closely with the teams across the company, including Brand Design and Workplace Design and Connectivity. This large scale, two-year project began with crafting the strategy for tackling the two buildings (5-stories and 9-stories respectively). My responsibilities included design for key areas in the Liu Xiang building, establishing parameters for strategy and site-specific planning, site visits to determine design opportunities, as well as factory visits for prototyping. Creative direction by Jason Bacon.
My design work included design of the cafeteria space, including spatial planning and design of the dining booths, as well as niches throughout the building, including Nike-specific moments and wall sculptures celebrating the championship moments of Liu Xiang, a triple-crown Chinese hurdler, with achievements including World Records, Olympic Records and a World Champion.
